Name: Matsi
Gender: female Age: 2.3 years (about 16 human years) Species: Timber x Fey wolf PERSONALITY Generally a very happy-go-lucky and optimistic young wolf. Matsi enjoys spending the time to appreciate the better things in life and barely ever dwells on the downsides. Due to this mindset, she almost never is depicted as having any kind of bad karma happening to her. (ie. Always avoiding bad situations by some kind of uncanny ability.) She's quite energetic and seems to act more childish than her age, though as she matures she's beginning to learn the real ways of life. Matsi can be quite the team player, always helping others out of sticky situations and being a good support. She's not the sort to hold a grudge, but don't let that fool you into thinking that she doesn't have a bad side. When Matsi gets pissed, she's a force to be reckoned with. Just imagine that all her optimistic energy is suddenly funneled into fueling her anger: she becomes quite the scary individual. (Though, as previously stated, her anger is rare, and she's quick to forgive.) Another personality quirk is that she has a very short attention span, and a general lack of interest in things that are boring in any way, shape, or form. Intelligence: A common notion is that along with Matsi's childlike demeanor comes a low intelligence, or a general obliviousness to her surroundings. This, however, is not the case. Matsi is actually very smart and quick to pick up on the smallest of things. She knows peoples' motives well and can figure out on her own why and how someone might have done something (ie. The reason for a murder, how someone cheated on a test, or who stole the last cookie from the cookie jar.) Her exceptional mastermind talent is often times undermined, startling others when she abruptly comes to the correct conclusion. (Which is usually followed by a huge, immature grin.) However, seemingly to counter her ingenuity, she tends not to see the obvious things that are right in front of her. HISTORY: v1 (original roleplay version): Matsi's parents were the leaders of the Silver Starlight wolf pack, and she was born in a litter of four. She grew up under the watchful eye of the pack, making many friends and learning a lot about the world around her. However, when she was only about nine months old, human hunters came to their forest and killed any living animal they could find. Her pack fought for their lives, but one by one, they fell. Matsi's mother took all the pups and helped them to flee the scene into the forest. The hunters quickly took after them, and one by one, the other pups were caught or trapped, until only Matsi and her mother were left running. They soon found themselves cornered against a steep rock face, with the hunters and their baying hounds close on their heels. Matsi's mother nudged the pup toward a narrow crevice in the rock that led to a tunnel, which wound its way under the mountain and out to the other side. Matsi was pushed in and hesitated, waiting for her mother to follow, but the hunters had already caught up to them. After a few snarls and a resounding gunshot that shook the rocks, Matsi knew that her mother wouldn't be accompanying her. The wolf pup slipped through the tunnels and made it to the other side, emerging from the mountain into an unfamiliar territory. She wandered for some time, not exactly sure what to do now that she was without a pack. v2 (current-flow version): Matsi was born into a Neopets roleplay guild with the amazing power to shapeshift into any animal that she wanted. She soon found a home in a pack named the Shadow Moon wolf pack with another wolf named Soren, who took her in as her adopted daughter. Slowly, more and more wolves joined the pack and they each bonded well, forming a beautiful family and had many adventures with one another, from epic battles against the ever-present Shadow Wolves, to elemental face-offs against their own pasts. Eventually, as the pack slowly faded into precious and fragile memories, Matsi found herself in the rebirth of the Shadow Moon pack, where her new life as a puppy once again was shared with wonderful companions and devious battle plans. However, the pack, as well as the opposing Sky Fire pack, soon faded away as well, but when it was remade into Version 2: Silphted, Matsi didn't follow. Instead, her existence ended up in a completely new world: the world of artwork and social communications that extended much farther than a simple wolf pack. She met new characters, not limited to canines, and formed a new family that included a father and siblings. Her seemingly eternal life stuck in puppyhood has evolved, and she now finds that her age follows a convincingly normal time stream. She has been adopted into the position of "fursona" and takes her responsibility with pride, enjoying every minute of it. Matsi character, art, design, and profile info (c) =Astar-Shadow |
